Torres said that the daycare center has strict security protocols, monitoring with 48 cameras and constant staff training, as well as that in 20 years of operation they had never faced a similar situation.
She insisted that the daycare center has been positively evaluated by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and other regulatory bodies, which is why, in 2024, they even received a 99.35 percent satisfaction rating from parents.

“Our institution is constantly supervised by various agencies, including DIF, Civil Protection and the Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks,” she said.
She also pointed out that the surveillance videos were handed over to the authorities and that the employees are obliged to cooperate with the investigation.
Regarding the detained employee, the director of the daycare center stated that the justice system will determine her responsibility.
What do the parents say?
After this case became known, mothers and fathers who have their children in the daycare center formed the initiative “Colors of Justice”, which called for the anti-monument “For a broken dream”, next Sunday, March 16.
This activity seeks to make child violence visible and raise awareness about the importance of protecting children’s rights.
The event will be held at the acoustic shell of the Parque Central Poniente, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
For the event, the community was invited to bring a pillow with a message of hope, symbolizing the right to a dignified future.
What happened in “Mi mundo a colores”?
Last March 8, in the midst of the activities for the commemoration of Women’s Day, the State Attorney General’s Office served an arrest warrant against Rosa Iveth V. G., an educational assistant at the daycare center “Mi mundo a colores”, for the alleged crime of sexual abuse against a three year old girl.
Joselyn Guzmán, spokeswoman for the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Attention to Women Victims of Gender and Family Crimes (FEM), told Circuito Frontera that a judge ordered a one-year pre-trial detention and four months to continue with the corresponding investigations.
The spokeswoman for the FEM in the state capital also said that medical studies were carried out on 68 children, between 2 and 4 years of age, to determine if there were more victims.
The state attorney general, César Jáuregui Moreno, informed that 22 investigation files are open for sexual abuse, child abuse and family violence.
He reiterated that the investigations into this case continue by the state agencies, and so far one person has been indicted.
He also confirmed that there is an arrest warrant pending against another person, and that progress on the case will be presented in the next few days.
