Texas riot agents evicted migrants in the area of the Rio Bravo border this Friday afternoon, after since the beginning of weeks, people on the move have crossed the cyclone fence that separates Mexico from the United States.

Just yesterday morning, approximately 500 migrants managed to enter illegally through the border between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, which is why the police presence increased this day.

Groups of between 200 and 300 migrants camp out overnight in an attempt to cross and request political asylum in the United States.

In this regard, the Secretary of Municipal Public Security (SSPM), César Omar Muñoz Morales, informed that in collaboration with the National Migration Institute (INM), they are keeping vigilance in the area of the Río Bravo riverbank.

Muñoz pointed out an increase in the arrival of migrants in the last few days, however, they have not reached previous levels, as the flow continues to be controlled.

The official highlighted a decrease in the arrival of migrants by train, as many now choose to arrive on foot by road.

Given the presence of these camps on the banks of the Rio Bravo, the head visitor of the State Human Rights Commission (CEDH), Eduardo Saenz, indicated that they only have the authority to help those who are inside Mexico.

He stated that he has received requests for support from the migrants, where they are asking for help, however, they are on the American side of the border.

This situation poses a dilemma, since U.S. authorities cannot intervene in the camps located in their territory either.

Faced with this reality, he explained that the possibility of channeling migrants to care centers or shelters in Mexico, where they can receive the required assistance, has been considered.

However, lack of information and desperation lead migrants to seek any form of assistance, but they have been informed that the only way they could receive assistance would be on the Mexican side of the border.

Likewise, Border Patrol spokesman Claudio Herrera issued a warning to the border community and migrants attempting to enter the United States illegally, as the dangers are extreme.

A few days ago, Herrera told Circuito Frontera about the significant risks faced by those attempting to enter through unauthorized points.

He also expressed concern about people who rely on misleading promises propagated through social media, suggesting that crossing at certain points will allow them to voluntarily turn themselves in and apply for political asylum.

However, the reality is very different, which is why border authorities are urging those seeking to enter the United States through legal and safe channels, emphasizing that the illegal crossing carries innumerable and potentially deadly dangers.
