Circuito Frontera seeks to highlight the particularities of the Ciudad Juárez-El Paso relationship, a border that not only shares a dividing line, but also a cultural, economic and social interaction that enriches both cities.
This media was founded in June 2021, as a response to the established media where political propaganda and official information was privileged.
We are a bilingual media of the northern border of Mexico dedicated to denounce acts of corruption and human rights violations, in order to provide citizens with the information they need to form their own criteria and make important decisions in their lives.
MISSION: To tell through stories the problems that the binational community of the border of Ciudad Juarez and El Paso lives, as well as to show the identity of this community, to present verified information so that the population, on both sides of the border, can form their own criteria and improve transparency, accountability and human rights. To generate empathy and understanding between both cities, highlighting their differences and similarities.
VISION: To be a publication that tells through stories the struggle of a border community with the United States to improve their lives. We aspire for Circuito Frontera to be a reference media in the entire border region that produces relevant information for the life of its community. As well as being an informative meeting point that contributes to the strengthening of cooperation and understanding between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, promoting joint growth and binational identity.
VALUES: Honesty, respect for the truth, inclusiveness, freedom of expression, independent of political parties and government.
EDITORIAL LINE: We cover Human Rights, Gender Perspective, LGBT Community, Migration, Animal Welfare, Anti-Corruption, Ethnic Groups, Border Community.
We base our work on the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which establishes that the media must act actively to raise public awareness of the effects and dangers of corruption. For this reason, we also seek the support of civil society and organizations to complement our work.
Mexico requires citizen participation in which the principles of honesty and truth are prioritized, since our performance influences society’s perception, either indirectly or directly.
In this sense, we seek that these principles are respected in order to aspire to a more democratic and transparent society, where the human rights of all individuals are also honored, regardless of their sexual preference, age, gender, ethnicity, color and economic position.
