Agustina Garcia Silva, whose body was found buried in the Rancho Anapra area, was buried this Tuesday, where she was bid farewell by her family and loved ones, after 12 days of being reported missing.
The 67 year old woman is the second woman found in similar conditions in that neighborhood, for which even family and friends protested to demand justice.
According to preliminary information, the woman was watching over the construction of a bathroom in a house located at the intersection of Cangrejo and Salmón streets when she was taken from her liberty.



In this case, personnel from the Fiscalía Especializada en Atención a Mujeres Víctimas del Delito por Razones de Género y la Familia de la Zona Norte (FEM), reported that a man identified as Lorenzo S.C., 42 years of age, was arrested as a suspect in the aggravated homicide of the 60-year-old woman, since the victim had been missing since December 11.
The detainee faces charges for criminal acts that occurred last December 11 inside a home in the Rancho Anapra neighborhood, where Agustina G. S., whose body was found in the courtyard of the house, was allegedly murdered.
The elderly woman was identified by her relatives, to whom the body was handed over.
According to the ministerial investigations, the assailant inflicted injuries mainly on her skull causing her death by severe cranioencephalic traumatism, facts for which he was arrested with an arrest warrant served by elements of the State Investigation Agency this Monday, December 25.



The Control Judge of the Bravos Judicial District, imposed the precautionary measure of preventive detention to the accused and set for next Thursday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m., the hearing to decide whether or not to prosecute, where his legal situation will be resolved.

**According to the laws and regulations in force, the accused is presumed innocent until his responsibility is declared by means of a sentence issued by the judicial authority (article 13 of the National Code of Criminal Procedures), it transpired.
